Mission

To partner with families by creating a safe and nurturing preschool where every child is seen, known, and loved, and where they begin a lifelong journey of knowing and following Jesus.

Vision

To disciple generations of children and families who know they are deeply loved by Jesus, confidently walk in His truth, and joyfully share His love with others.

Curriculum

At South Oak Preschool, we believe the greatest story a child can know is the story of God's redeeming love through Jesus Christ. Through the WEE Learn Curriculum Guide, our age-appropriate, faith-based curriculum, children learn, play, explore, and grow while discovering God's truth in everyday moments. We also use The Biggest Story Bible to help children see how all of Scripture points to Jesus and God's plan of redemption. For our two-year-old, three-year-old, and VPK classes, chapel is held three times each week, where children sing worship songs, hear Bible stories, and memorize Scripture together. We recognize that the first five years are foundational, and we are committed to providing a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment where every child is known, loved, and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Safety & Security

At South Oak Preschool, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, secure, and deeply loved. We create predictable daily rhythms and consistent routines that help children know what to expect, build confidence, and navigate each day with peace. Our teachers intentionally cultivate trusting relationships with every child, offering loving guidance, encouragement, and care that reflects the heart of Christ. The physical safety of every child is one of our highest priorities. We faithfully meet and exceed Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing standards, including staff-to-child ratios, health and safety practices, and routine facility inspections. Secure check-in and check-out procedures, visitor protocols, and authorized pick-up policies help ensure that every child is cared for well and released only to approved adults. From the moment your child arrives until the moment they leave, we are committed to providing an environment where families can have confidence that their children are safe, known, and cared for.

A Note from our Director

Thank you for considering South Oak Preschool as a place where your child can learn, grow, and experience the love of Jesus. It is a privilege to partner with your family during these foundational years, and our team is committed to creating a safe, joyful, and Christ-centered environment where every child is known, loved, and encouraged to flourish. We look forward to getting to know your family and walking alongside you this school year.

With gratitude,

Emme Kreider
