Opportunities for Growth

Equipping Groups

Equipping groups are our deeper dive Bible studies that are meant, “ to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,” (Ephesians 4:12 ESV). We currently have two tracks of studies, one on the commands we are to obey from Christ called “Teaching to Obey”. The second on the “Doctrines of the Church” where we are taking a systematic approach to important doctrines. Equipping groups have a beginning and an end and last about a year. They are designed so that you can join at any time and benefit from it but also would provide the opportunity to be more fully equipped if you participate in each session.

DNA Groups

Of the many ways we gather to be equipped in following Jesus with others, the most intimate space is within DNA groups. DNA is an acronym that stands for Discover, Nurture, and Apply. In groups of 3-6 people, we gather to share what God is teaching us in our daily scripture reading. We also take time to pray for and encourage one another. Most groups use a H.E.A.R. journal model to record their thoughts. Groups start spontaneously, or we can help you to either start one or get plugged in. If your next move is to grow in God’s word personally with just a few others, DNA is for you! Reach out to our church office at (863)465-3721 or fill out this form if you would like help starting a group.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find freedom from your hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Celebrate Recovery is for EVERYONE! No one should have to face their pain alone. We are a grace-filled community of strugglers who courageously enter this safe and beautiful space to get honest about our pain, and the negative ways we may see ourselves, God, and others. In this process, we come to accept that some of the habits we have developed to escape our pain may have hurt us and those close to us. It is a biblically based approach to help us achieve long lasting recovery by healing our hurts, guiding us toward new healthy truths, and developing life-giving habits.

GriefShare

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Kindle - Men’s Ministry

“For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given use a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.”

1 Timothy 1: 6-7

Our goal in Men’s ministry is to fan the fire that God has lit in us to be leaders in our homes, servants in our church, and ambassadors of Christ in our community. We hope to kindle afresh the gifts and abilities God has given us while linking arms to follow Jesus together.
